If you landed here searching for hair loss or thinning solutions, you've probably noticed your density drop and want to know what visual options exist. To be direct: at NARA I don't assess or address the causes of hair loss. What I work on is the visual effect of density, with micropigmentation. Here's what that solves and what it doesn't.
What does scalp micropigmentation do?
It simulates follicle points on the scalp, with size, angle and depth that vary from one point to the next, the way a real hairline varies. The aim is a result nobody reads as pigment. It makes a lower-density area look fuller, and it suits a shaved or very short cut particularly well, which is the scenario the technique was designed for.
It also adapts over time. The pigment sits more superficially than a tattoo and is planned to fade evenly, so the result stays coherent as your hair keeps changing.
What doesn't it do?
It isn't a cure for hair loss, and it doesn't stop what's happening underneath the skin. It also isn't done in a single session: full coverage promised in one sitting is a sign of poor planning. Density is built up gradually. Each session has to heal before the result can be assessed and the next one booked. The tone is calibrated against your hair and your skin.
It also isn't interchangeable with a tattoo, in technique or in what it offers. A tattoo is made to stay the same. This is planned around hair that will keep changing.
Why bring this up at all, if it's not my area?
Because it's the question people actually arrive with, and answering it honestly beats promising something I can't deliver. If what you want is purely aesthetic, more perceived density in an area that's already stable, or a very short cut that reads fuller, this is my territory. If the loss is still active, the starting point is elsewhere, and I'd rather say so before you book.
What if I suspect I'm still losing hair?
Start by talking to your doctor. If hair loss is still active, pigment on the scalp doesn't address the cause. It only works on the visual effect of what's there on the day of the session. I'd rather say that plainly before you book a consultation expecting something outside what I do.
What gets discussed in the consultation?
How long the result lasts depends on your skin, sun exposure and the density you're after, so it gets discussed in person instead of promised beforehand. The maintenance plan is defined case by case. It's also where I look at your scalp and tell you whether it's a case that benefits from this technique, or whether what you're picturing isn't realistic given what's there. The consultation is private: closed room, nothing photographed without your permission, no case published without authorization.
Does it matter if you've already tried something else?
It can change the starting point. If you've already tried something else for your density, what matters in the consultation stays the same: how your scalp looks today, and what point configuration, tone and density read best on it. I don't need your full history. I need to see your skin as it is when we work on it.
If what you're after is perceived density, this is the right conversation to have. Write to me and book your consultation.
