The atelier
Melody Goris
Founder and tattoo artist at NARA. She works both disciplines of the atelier: tattooing and micropigmentation.
The calendar is short. One person does the work.
Melody talks the commission through, draws the line, runs the session and answers the message the following week. That continuity is what makes the piece match what was discussed. The wait is sometimes long.
On authorship
Documented rigor
What's put in writing for every session
This is recorded session by session. You can ask to see it whenever you need it.
Session record
Date, area, duration and working settings. A touch-up a year from now is done to the same parameters.
Pigment and ink batch
Which product and which batch went into your skin, written on your record. The data stays available.
Disposable materials
Single-use needles, cartridges and surfaces, opened in front of you and discarded afterward. You can ask to see it.
Care guide handed over
In writing, before you leave, in the version that matches your discipline. The same one that lives on aftercare.
Image consent
Nothing is photographed or published without your explicit, separate permission.
Before you commission
What gets assessed first
Before anyone commissions a piece, hygiene and process rigor are what get assessed. This section covers both.
Impeccable hygiene
Single-use materials and room disinfection every session.
Precision
Every line is designed before it's executed.
Permanence
The piece is worked so it ages well.
Trust
An honest conversation before every commission.
Craft
Both disciplines follow the same standard.

Every piece starts with a conversation.
