Division 02
Scalp micropigmentation
Density and hairline built stroke by stroke. The result we are after is that it goes unnoticed.
Discretion
Going unnoticed is the work
Scalp work that holds up comes down to a few decisions taken before the first session.
It goes unnoticed when
- The hairline is drawn by hand for your face, with the irregularity a real one has.
- Density is built up gradually. Each session has to heal before the result can be assessed and the next one booked.
- Tone is calibrated against your hair and skin, not against a catalog.
- The edge is diffused instead of ending in a closed outline.
It shows when
- The hairline is drawn straight and symmetrical, as if it came from a template.
- Every dot shares the same size, angle and depth.
- The pigment shifts over time because it was chosen without permanence in mind.
- Full coverage is attempted in a single session.
Before you decide
The questions almost nobody asks out loud
They are answered here, before the consultation.
Will people notice?
Not if it is done well. The technique imitates follicle points at varying size, angle and depth. What gives bad work away is the uniformity.
Is it a tattoo?
It uses the same tool, with a different standard. A tattoo is made to stay identical. Here the pigment sits shallower and is planned to soften evenly, so it can be maintained as your hair changes.
What if I shave my head?
It is the scenario it is designed for. The effect is built to read as very short hair, so a shaved head flatters it.
How long does it last?
That is discussed at the consultation and not promised in advance. It depends on your skin, the sun and the density you are after. The maintenance plan is set with you.
Do I have to tell anyone?
No. This is discreet work by definition, and it is treated that way: consultation behind a closed door, no photographs you have not authorized, no case published.
